SETTING UP THE SALE: Organization of all personal property to be sold. We sort through and evaluate salability of all items and separate all items not to be sold. Set-up includes displaying items to enhance appearance and produce maximum effect. Higher end items are given most prominence.
PHOTOGRAPHY: All items are photographed for on-line advertising. Effective images enhance the setting and help to create interest.
ADVERTISING: We reach customers through our extensive email list, our website, on-line websites, Craig’s List, neighborhood list serves, directional signs, and word of mouth. People constantly ask what sales are coming up. When possible, we also distribute mailbox flyers in the near by neighborhood.
PRICING OF ITEMS: We research and price items based on experience, but use various reference guides. If we are not sure about an item, we have contacts to help us.
DAY OF SALE: Directional signs are in place. Staff is organized to assist customers and answer questions. We accept cash, checks with proper identification, and charge cards. All sales are final. Items are constantly moved to front rooms and consolidated so the sale doesn’t look “picked over”.
At the end of the sale, we can donate unsold items and clean out the property if desired.
